Road Project Profiles
Lawndale and Magnolia Park Improvements (Houston, Texas)
IMS is the Engineer/Consultant on this Work Order driven contract for the evaluation and design of numerous street and side walk improvements within the Lawndale and Magnolia Park areas. This work will be completed as part of the CITY's neighborhood improvement program and in conjunction with the City's Master plan for the areas. Street and sidewalks will be evaluated for rehabilitation/replacement within the project limits.
West Gray and Taft Street and Drainage Design (Houston, Texas)
As the City's Design Engineer, IMS is redesigning over three miles of neighborhood streets in the Montrose/Mid-Town area. Our final design will resolve parking and traffic congestion by providing a revitalized neighborhood with a multitude of enhancements that include new street pavement with "on-street" parking, wider sidewalks to meet ADA standards, new bike lanes; as well as improvements to water, wastewater, and storm sewer throughout the area.
Southern Gateway Project (Dallas Texas)
This Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) project stretches along I-35E/US67. IMS is working to improve safety and provide congestion relief along the approximate 11 mile stretch by adding an express, reversible lane, along with the addition and widening of general purpose lanes.
Byram Clinton Corridor (Hinds County, Mississippi)
IMS, as a JV partner, was responsible for designing and preparing construction plans, technical specifications, and construction documents for a new ninety-nine million dollar roadway. The corridor consists of a multi-lane arterial roadway system beginning in the Byram Community at I-55 in the southern portion of the Jackson Metropolitan Area, extending westward to the Norrel Road Interchange at I-20 in Clinton (the length of the corridor is approximately 15 miles).
US 90 Bridge Replacement (Bay St. Louis, Mississippi)
IMS performed construction phase services, as a subcontractor to HNTB who created the design and plans on the 2.5-mile-long project. The new four-lane bridge spans 11,200 feet, with a main span of 250 feet and 85-foot clearance for boat navigation. CE&I services were performed in compliance with AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges and MDOT's Roadway Design Manual.
